TATTOOS
So I'm writing this post because I FINALLY got a tattoo done yesterday. It's a cute little diamond. ( I'll post it at the end ) So yeah, tattoos have a vast VAST variety. And I can almost name a person I know with a separate KIND of tattoo. So let me just list down the types that I'm aware of.
- The quotes : These are those tattoos which are usually very inspiring and motivational. Also, they're mostly very related to some incident or situation in a person's life, sometimes they're just quotes that they like. Like my very nice friend Yashodhara got a quote inked on her forearm with a related symbol ( an achor. I love love love anchors ) and the tattoo is absolutely gorgeous. ( I'm gonna post hers below. )
- The names : I know so many people with these! In fact my mom and dad, bothe have got names tattooed. My mom has a cute winged heart with a rose, with mine and my brothers name towards the top and bottom. My daddy is more of a bold tattoos person, so he has all our names in a thick, Chinese font, but it looks really bold and classy.
- The weird-yet-smart-combination-of-something : It's pretty evident, I made that up. I don't know what they're called, to be honest. In fact I've made up all of the names, some of them just make sense. So yeah, these are the ones that are a very sensible-sounding combination of stuff, mostly names. Like my adorable friend Prapti ( she's a doll! ) got a fusion of her dad's name 'Ravendra' and her mom's name 'Subhashini' which makes it 'RAVINI' with a lifeline attached to it, and it just makes so much sense. ( posted below )
- The small, cute designs : This is the type I have. Mine is a very small diamond right above my wrist ( I don't like tattoos on very common places ) I know many many people with these too. Literally way too many to name. Since these are very small, one should make sure that there's not much intricacy or they'll look very clumsy. They can be black or coloured.
- The huge, bold designs : These are mostly worn by guys, although girls can get it done too. They're mostly black, with very thick outlines. These are originally what people used to call a proper 'tattoo' before the variations came up. My dad has two of these two, an eagle on one arm and a very HEAVY design on the other, but it looks pretty cool.
- The one worders : These are also very inspirational, but they only have a very motivational word. Some examples can be 'fighter' , 'believe' , 'live' , etc. They may or may not have a small symbol attached.
- The ambigrams : I've not come across anyone with an ambigram yet. An ambigram is basically a written tattoo, where there is one word that reads something from one side and when you turn it upside down, it reads something else. There are also ambigrams which read the same from both sides. I remember making an ambigram for a tattoo making competition at school which read 'mom' from one side and 'dad' from the other. In my opinion these are the most creative.
A little head's up, getting a tattoo done is not as easy as you think. You have to be very sure of what you want to get done, and make sure you get it done from a reputed place using quality products.

I like the research u did. But next time try to post something on image tattoo. Quotes looks awesome, but too many makes body note book. And yeah i completely agree that getting inked is much tougher than i it looks. But above all inked people are coolest :)
